Participatory Mapping as a Didactic and Auxiliary Tool for Learning Community Integration, Technology Transference, and Natural Resource Management

Participatory mapping is a tool for community work linked to natural resource management. It an auxiliary diagnosis and data acquisition from communities their resources. In Baja California, there are several indigenous communities, some close urban areas but still unknown most people in cities as well visitors. These fighting restore maintain language, tradition, territory, biological, cultural diversity. This was carried out by linking members of the San Jose de la Zorra with bachelor’s graduate degree students, obtain information on cultural, economic activities through participatory mapping.
